  1. I need some guidance in designing network for a large CCTV installation. The scenario is as follows: - 11 floor building. - Network backbone based on Cisco Catalyst 3750 Gigabit POE switches. - Existing Data, Voice and Wifi network with their respective VLANs. - 240 IP cameras to be distributed across various floors. - 5× NVR Servers: Approx 48 cameras will be added to each NVR. Each NVR has backup redundant link. - 1× Storage Server: All NVRs will dump their recording to this server. - 4× monitoring stations will be monitoring live and recorded feeds from various NVR servers. See attached diagram. Physical connectivity is not an issue as the client will be providing us with required ports at required locations. From my end, I need to plan a low-level design for integration and optimization of surveillance system e.g VLANs, IP subnets, creating one VLAN for each NVR server and its associated cameras or adding all servers to a single VLAN and all cameras to another VLAN and routing between them, etc. Basic requirement is to provide optimized solution without bottlenecks at specific areas. I am open to all suggestions and ideas. Any help in this would be greatly appreciated. Regards.
