  1. I dont mean to hijack the thread, so let me know if I should start my own thread. I have a Zmodo DVR-9114V-4CH that I have been trying to setup in iSpyConnect, but cant seem to find a URL that will work to display the feed. My hopes were to try and reverse engineer the websever on the DVR. I came across this thread because I just realized that telnet is enabled on the device but I too cannot access it (dont know what the password is). Any luck on cracking it? What about the update with just a password change, did that work? I'm kind of a novice when it comes to linux but with google I can usually figure it out. Would there be any other way to reverse engineer the server? I notice that it runs minihttpd 1.19 and seems old enough that there might be some exploits that I could use to gain access too. If my best route in getting the webroot stuff cracking the telnet password? I also have tried to find a full firmware file that contains the whole OS, but cannot seem to find it on the web.
  2. Does anyone have any suggestions for an inexpensive 4 port analog (preferred BNC style, but RCA will work too) capture card? I have a rack mount chassis that I was looking to replace my crappy Zmodo NVR. I don't want to spend much on the card, because I would rather spend the money and get new IP based cameras if the capture card is too expensive. Has anyone tried the USB video capture adapters? Any luck with those? Here's an example: http://amzn.com/B0019SSSMY
  3. I recently acquired a DVR system that was being retired. I have a Zmodo DVR unit that came with 4 cameras. The DVR is terrible... I was hoping to replace that DVR with a PC based one. The system I recently acquired has 3 VG4C-RT4's in it. I tried to add them to a different machine and when I loaded the drivers it just crashes. So I put them back in the original PC and got Windows 7 Pro 32 loaded with the drives for the VG4C-RT4 working. I tried a few other DVR softwares but they dont seem to see the VG4C-RT4 as a capture card. I then loaded their 'CMS' software and the Engrish is so bad I cannot seem to get to work. Could anyone recommend DVR software that would work with card? Should I just trash these cards and go for something else? Currently I only have 4 cameras, but the option to get more would be nice. Thanks in advance ~Mike
