  1. I had trouble to connect to my DS-2CD2032-I the first time until I set static IP-address on my computer to 192.0.0.10 with subnet 255.255.255.0 to be within the same IP range, then I could connect and use the hikvision tool to set a new IP and reboot it. Went back to dhcp on my computer and I was able to reach camera. Good Luck
  2. Sorry I havent got the time to send a request yet. But I will do so if Buellwinkle dont get the chinese fw. I was up on roof securing the chimney where the camera is mounted this weekend. Anyway I found an APP "IP Cam Viewer Basic" that works on both iPad and android and it can handle all 5 camera brands/models I have. Vivotek IP7251, Vivotek IP8332, Hikvision DS-2CD2032-I, Grandtec WiFi Cam and Dlink DCS-2121. Basic version works but have advertising in it, I bought the Pro version. Let me know if you want me to request chinese fw also.
  3. Brenning, did you have to do any hard reset after upgrading fw? My camera is up on the roof used as a weather camera so its definitely not fun to go up there to do a hard reset. Camera is bought in china so have to email them for fw anyway but it would be nice to know about if reset is needed or not, my Vivotek IP8332 seams to need a hard reset after fw upgrade and that reset button is inside camera also
