    WD Announces Purple Surveillance Line

Looking forward to getting my hands on one of these!
  3. Great information, thanks for sharing.
  4. I had a Hikvision dome in my dark garage and there was too much IR reflection so I upgraded it to the Exir. I much prefer the Exir over the dome.
  5. Thanks guys! Appreciate all the input!

    Hello from London

    Welcome!
  7. Can anyone provide some information?
  8. [MOD: Please do try to defeat the word censors. It's not complicated to understand that the software is filtering the word. Future post is just be deleted without warning] As a NY native who has shopped at B&H for years, I will never step foot in that store or order anything online from them again. I purchased multiple products that all had hardware issues and they made me jump through hoops to honor returns and exchanges. The customer service is terrible!!!
  9. Perhaps the processor speed and memory will not be enough? Maybe I should spend the extra money and get the DS412+? Maybe I should get the 214+? I have no idea. I would like to avoid having to buy a license for every camera as well. Can someone point me in the right direction?
  10. I'm looking to pick up a Synology DS213j as a back up to Blue Iris and also for backing up files (pictures, media, etc.). I would be recording 4 Hikvision 3MP bullet's and 1 Hikvision Exir (all at 1080P). I was hoping to record on motion right to the NAS. I have a dedicated computer running Blue Iris and will continue to use it 24/7 but sometimes it goes down so I like the fact that the NAS adds redundancy. Wondering if this NAS will be sufficient to handle recording on motion for all 5 cameras? If not, can anyone recommend a good NAS (preferably Synology) that won't break the bank? Thanks for the feedback.
  11. Anyone have anything specific they recommend? Thanks.
  12. Yes HD quality is preferred. Thanks for the tips, looking now.
  13. Hi everyone. A client is looking for a camera for the front of his office (outside), pointing at the front door, with a dedicated monitor (TV) mounted on the wall inside the office, with a live feed from the camera. I'm wondering what the best way to accomplish this would be. I only have experience hooking up IP Camera's and NVR's connected to monitors, not cameras directly to monitors. The feed does not need to be recorded either. Can anyone make any suggestions? He's looking to have this done this Saturday. Thanks.
