  1. Is it possible to use a POE splitter Y cable at the camera to tap the power provided by the switch and use it for the mic?
  2. Does anyone have any experience good/bad with Amovision cameras? I was looking at the following HD PTZ for indoor use to cover a couple of rooms for less than $300. It's not top of the line equipment but seems adequate for just checking in on the house. 3. I am running IE10 and it works (HTTP & UDP) with or without Compatibility View. I also get the same result in IE with the Live View Parameters Protocol. HTTP & UDP work. TCP & MULTICAST do not work. Thanks
  4. I had cleared the browser cache and reset all the camera parameters back to the defaults and rebooted the cam. And still nothing. After the reset & reboot I went into the Local Configuration tab and changed the Live View Parameters:Protocol = HTTP and it is now working. It also works when set to UDP. TCP & MULTICAST do not work. TCP however is the default setting. There is another setting named Rules which can be enabled or disabled. This parameter doesnt seem to have any effect. I presume it enables or disables the Live View but it doesnt matter which option is selected as the live view is still visible. Also strange is that the Live View Parameter settings did not update on the second computer. I have two computers that I logged into the camera with. On computer #1 I changed the the Live View Protocol to HTTP and it worked. Using computer #2 I logged in and the Protocol setting was still set to TCP. Even after the CTRL+F5 the setting was not updated and I had to change it manually. I would think the camera would push out the new settings to computer #2 even after the browser cache was cleared. Odd. Thanks
  5. I'm testing out a Hikvision DS-2CD2732F-IS dome with Win7/64. After upgrading the firmware to V5.1.0 build 131202 the Live View no longer works with webcomponents in both Firefox & IE. VLC and Quicktime work OK. Problem is you can only setup motion detection areas using the Live View displayed via webcomponents. Everything worked with the shipped firmware. After upgrading the firmware I uninstalled the existing webcomponents (3.0.4.6) and downloaded and installed the new version of webcomponents (3.0.4.17) from the camera. Now the Live View shows nothing. I also tried the new firmware V5.1.0 build 131202 on a 2nd Win7/64 PC and I have the same problem. Is anyone else having this problem with the 5.1.0 firmware and Win7/64 and if so have you been able to fix it? Thanks
