  1. Good morning everyone. My NVR randomly reboots, maybe three times a month. Upon looking at the log, it shows a "Shutdown" and right after a "Reboot With Flag 0x01." What is the story? The NVR and the POE switches are plugged directly into an expensive APC 1500 Back Ups.
  2. Interesting. I was not aware that you can select main or extra stream in iDMSS. Where is that option located? I guess I will have to use IP Cam Viewer Pro. Does it support a Dahua 16 channel NVR when each camera is not accessible outside of the network? In iDMSS, I connect to the NVR, which connects to the individual cameras. I cannot access each individual camera outside of the network. However, my iPAD is within the network. Have you tried gDMSS for the iPAD (I believe it is called Pegaso) - has that worked for you?
  3. The connection is excellent (cisco-linksys gigabit router) - the IPAD is also the only wireless device on the network. My Main Stream bitrate is on CBR at 2048 Kbps (10 fps, 1.3m) and my Extra Stream is also on CBR at 448 kbps (5fps, d1). Are iPADS/iDMSS not meant to connect to the extra stream 24 hours a day? Is there a better app to use?
  4. So here is the deal. I fixed the memory warning issue by absolutely cleaning out the iPAD, so it literally has nothing on it but iDMSS. So now, I no longer get THAT error. But I am still having the issue of the iPAD randomly losing the stream - what happens is that after 12 or 15 hours of it being on, it will either be streaming perfectly and working, or the images will be frozen from some point like 8 hours previously or something. It is random. I can't figure out why it is doing that. The iPAD is on the same router as the NVR. There is no other traffic on that router besides the cameras. ideas?
  5. It keeps iDMSS open, but closes the individual cameras and throws up the Memory Warning window. Perhaps it was caused by the DVR being set to reboot every night. I think I will turn that off. I am currently trying with 6 instead of 9 cameras.
  6. Good morning, I would like to have a full-time stream in my house of 7 of my 12 cameras. I am using an original iPad - in a fancy stand - with iDMSS to display the extra stream from the cameras from my Dahua 16 channel NVR. It will show the videos for hours, but randomly throughout the day, it will pop up with "Memory Warning" and close the cameras. I know the original iPad does not have much memory, but is it the iPad or iDMSS? I have closed out of everything on the iPad, and have disabled all memory hogging services (including e-mail and icloud!) Does anyone else use an iPad to show video 24/7? Should I use a different app to show the cams instead of iDMSS? Thanks!
  7. Someone has to have a thought on this issue....
  8. Hello everyone! Here is the deal. I am running a 16 channel Dahua NVR (1U). It works great. I have 12 cameras, and have a fast AT&T Uverse 24 Mbps downstream/3 Mbps upstream connection. -While viewing the main stream using PSS and from the unit I have no problems -While viewing the extra stream via PSS or web service in my network I have no problems -While viewing the extra stream view web service from another hardwired network (including a laptop on wifi in another city) I have no problems -While viewing the extra stream from idmss from my iphone on another hardwired network (including via wifi in another city) I have no problems However, when I am viewing the extra stream via idmss on my iphone while using verizon 3g (speedtest .5 MBps down, .5 MBps up), and from my wife's iphone while using verizon 4g (speedtest: 4 Mbps down, 3 Mbps up) and from my friend's droid while using sprint 4g (speedtest: 6 MBps down, 3 Mbps up) I have the same issue: When I use idmss on an iphone/droid, and save a favorites of 4 cameras, and then save another page of favorites of 4 cameras, and when I switch quickly between the two pages of favorites via the spinwheel, I get either Connection Failed or Login Failed on one or more cameras. It is always random, and not one particular camera. It might be camera 2 and 4 on one page of favorites, but then it is camera 6 and 7 on the next page, and then camera 1 and 3 on the first page. If I spin back to the previous page of favorites, they may all loan fine or one or more may not load. I noticed that for the first time that I try to load a page of favorites after not using idmss for a little while (perhaps 30 minutes) all cameras will load fine for the first time I try to load that page of favorites and those cameras, as will the next page of favorites that I try to load. However, when I try to go back to the previous page of favorites that I had just loaded a minute earlier, I will get either Connection Failed or Login Failed on some cameras. This only happens while I am using 3g or 4g - this never happens when I am doing the exact same thing on a WIFI network. What is going on? Is this a latency issue?
