  1. Thanks for the heads up. I tested gmail and can confirm that it is also working for me. must have been something on Google's side.
  2. Ok. I just setup a GMX account and here are my test results Using Port 587 and Checking the SSL box in the HikVision Cam interface produces an error "Fail to Connect the Test Server: The above setting are per the GMX help page. it says TLS is preferred but if TLS is not avail (e.g. the Hik Vision Cam) then can SSL. I then tried Port 587 but UnChecked SSL and voila it worked. I then ventured... with Port 465 and Checking the SSL box. it also worked but it takes 1s longer to send the test message. (note port 465 is mentioned on GMX's website but it is the std port for SSL) TIP: GMail was sending all GMX emails to the SPAM so had to create a filter to prevent SPAM for all GMX emails.
  3. Hi all, I am still not been able to get email alerts to work again with gmail I am not sure if everyone is back online or not but I keep getting Test Failed I tried going to a prior firmware but it did not help. I hope that google did not block my ip due to excessive number of events reported by my 8 cams.
  4. Hello all, I am also affected by this issue. Have 8 HikVision Cams connected to a Dahua NVR. the Cams stopped sending email alerts as of July 22nd 6 AM PST. I still getting alerts from NVR such as disk full so the GMAIL SMTP SSL ports is still working. but the cameras do not send any alerts and they fail the test. I have spent 4 hrs debugging the issue but with no luck. Please let me know if you figure it out. It seems it has to do with the way HikVision is authenticating based on the emails above although it is not clear what is causing the issue since the camera firmware is still the same for over a months. I am going to try an older firmware to see if it makes a difference.
