  1. Our ability to remotely view our CCTV DVR using TeamViewer did not work with some PC/capture card/CCTV-DVR software combinations---the "camera views" for those DVRs appeared black, although for other capture cards-containing PC's, TeamViewer displayed the camera views properly. This problem was solved (after weeks to months of forum-browsing and unrewarding changes to hardware acceleration settings, video drivers etc.) by making a simple change in the "BOOT" section of MSCONFIG on the camera-attached PC. Check the box for "Base video" (Vista, Win7 or Win8) or "/BASEVIDEO" (XP) and save the MSCONFIG change. After rebooting that PC, all camera views were shared intact (not blacked out) for viewing remotely using TeamViewer. We also elected to check the box for "No GUI Boot" ("/NOGUIBOOT" in XP), but I do not believe that this second checkmark was required to "unblack" the camera views.
