  2. heres a pic that grabbed, prior to a few weeks ago there was no noise as such on the picture all the IR look lit but to me do seem a little duller

  6. bit of a bump people but hope you can help, i have 2 x hikvision cameras and although i can get them setup and view in ivms im struggling with setup to get them to use my server and storage etc ( only home user here so be gentle) and way i decided t download blue iris and setup and motion detect seemed very easy and much more user friendly. guess my questions are any idiots guides for setting up ivms ? is blue iris lacking in anything over ivms apart from heavy resources? anything else i should check out and try? im using a hp n54l with ws2012essentials 8gb ram and 4tb WD PURPLE for my setup running on tplink gigabit switch with poe for cameras tia mobileman

Video loss in one of the 4 cameras

sounds like it could be the cable, quick way to check would be swap one of the working cameras with faulty one, if faulty camera works on the other cameras cable then you need to replace the cable if it doesnt work then try working camera on faulty cable and rule out cable and replace camera
  8. just got my camera and took a little while to get basic setup now im working on the rest, i used SADP on the disk or can download to configure the camera to correct ip address range for me was 192.168.0.1 as the camera was preset to a different range. then when i viewed via the web browser or the ims-4200 software which also installed managed to view and also record and capture images no problem at all. It will be the camera config thats stopping you viewing at moment
  9. I believe you have a Chinese factory version camera that the supplier put hacked files on so it would show in English. The CH part in your serial indicates the Chinese factory version. my camera has just arrived from the aliexpress seller mentioned in a few threads, ch serial number but has multilanguage when logging in via web browser and date and time are in english, so guess they have hacked or flashed as CBX mentioned. i would also think then that i dont want to flash pr update when a new release lands as it would revert back to chinese ?
