  1. I'm looking for a small IP camera min of 1mp It need to be max of 5cm in depth, so rules out the normal Hikvision bullets i got around the house. It's only for the front door so know who is there etc. I had ethernet leads already put down so would need to be powered by this. And would need to work with a Hikvision NVR unit. Cost anything below $100 is fine. Many thanks. Edit Needs to be exterior too
  2. I have a xbmc media centre attached to my TV. I would really just like to control the NVR which is 2 floors up via the TV downstairs. Maybe a 20m usb extension cable is the answer.
  3. Yes i can access it via laptop. But i would like access on my TV too. (hdmi connected) as the Wife can access it easy to check on my Sons etc (their room, outside) if she feeding our baby.
  4. Sorry you have completely lost me The adapters are sealed, one male and one female. Don't understand where the crossed wires would come from.
  5. Where will you find that Had it direct from China, although is an International version.
  6. Yep, very strange indeed Went into web interface and the four ip address' that are an issue are there, but the modify and delete buttons are disabled/greyed out.
  7. Hi, Tried renaming them back to old ip address and the old ones are still there. But also missing one camera now as the IP address does not exist. How can i not do a full on factor reset on the NVR it even remembers the ip address i gave it 192.168.0.51 instead of .64.
  8. Wires crossed as it the cat cable? I am using brand new sealed cables. As said works fine on my laptop just not the NVR. Maybe not enough power to control it.
  9. Thanks for the replys None of the above work. Edit just lets you change auto/manual and selected manual and no joy there. Web interface tried the bottom option, done a restart and still the same. I can remove add any devices attached to it but not the old previous ip address that been there from day one.
  10. Hi guys, Having a lot is issues with camera's which cannot be removed. I have only had 4 camera's but 1 of them is not is use so have removed that cable from the NVR. I did rename all the ip's on the cameras using the software and this looks where the issue lies. Tried a reset on the NVR and still the same. So how can i remove these from my NVR as they showing 'no link' when go to the menu. http://i61.tinypic.com/qybzpl.jpg Only the bottom 3 are in use.
  11. Found the setting to turn on and off. Thanks, seems to be working atm. How can you do them manually to check working in daylight for future cameras?
  12. Bought a couple of adapters. And they don't work with the NVR. Plugged in the wired mouse that came with it works fine. Attached the adapters and not joy. Done exactly the same with my laptop before and after and both work. Not sure why its not working. The Ethernet lead for the test is about 20cm long. The adapters have a range of 150m. any ideas how to get around this?
  13. Yes the NVR is a 8 port (4 POE). So 4 IPC's - POE Switch - Ethernet cable - Plugged into one of the non poe ports on nvr? Would plugging it into a poe port on the NVR have any benefit to it?
  14. Hi, I have a few Hik camera's (2032) (Chinese versions) and installed one of them on the weekend and one of them the IR lights do not illuminate. Is this a faulty camera or a setting. The picture works fine in the day but nothing at night time.
  15. I thought they power through the poe switch? Both the cameras and the NVR are Hikvision
