  1. Hi all, read through your already existing help threads. I've been at this for ever, can't seem to get it working - with ports forwarded, using myname.no-ip:biz:6080 gives me a PAGE NOT FOUND error: I have a Hik 7616 version V3.0.10 with the following set up: NAT: xt IP Port HTTP 6040 0.0.0.0 6080 why are there diferent port #'s? RTSP 554 0.0.0.0 6010 Server 8000 0.0.0.0 6060 NVR IPv4 192.168.0.44 sub 255.255.255.0 gate 192.168.0.1 Pref DNS 192.168.0.1 Int NIC 192.168.254.1 My home network (LAN) is 192.168.0.1 (gateway) Cameras are set up in IP range of 192.168.0.xxx - into a POE which then attaches to my home LAN NVR also attaches to home LAN I do have no-ip.biz as well My questions: should the domain name have the port added to it? like: somename.no-ip.biz:port? If so, which port should be used? I have not found any explanation which describes why there are int and ext HTTP ports. What is the difference? I would be very happy if this could finally work. 2. The swtiches are connected via Ethernet cable to a common router/ WiFi under my home Network. I am not sure how else to explain the switch connection? The switch can not be accessed - i.e.: IP address I am sure is Dynamic. If I change the Submask to 255.255.0.0, would that not take me off my home network since the Router is on 255.255.255.0? And, If that is the case, would that not stop the connectivity from outside (I.e.: Web)? When I sign into the NVR from another house/ network, I can get the sign on completed, I can see the list of cameras, and, the cameras which are active at home have a different camera sign in the list (instead of gray it is colored which at home means they are active), but yet I can not get the video to show - even though all ActiveX and Java requirements have been met. Also, I easily can see the cameras tying into BlueIris from outside (Web) Any help would be appreciated as I am trying to reduce the load of my PC and use the NVR primarily
  3. Also, if I connect cameras directly to NVR, doesn;t the NVR automatically change their IP Address to Dynamic under it's own base submask?
  4. TYVM for reply, I have been trying for 1 yr to get it to work being connected directly and could not figure it out. Then changed to using BI for remote/ web viewing but wish to use NVR. So, I am at work and do not have specifics, but: my submask of router and cameras and LAN is all 255.255.255.0 I have a DSL wireless Actiontec router, to which I have 4 different switches connected - 2 of them POE and 2 of them plain. The 9 cameras are connected to the switches, then the NVR connects to one of the switches and pulls in the cameras from there. Is this enough info for now?
  5. I have 9 cameras that are NOT plugged into the NVR directly, but rather are part of local LAN. I have the Hik NVR configured so the cameras are acurately showing and recording - no issue there. However, remotely, I can tie into the NVR and see the listing of cameras on the left menu, but none are active. Do the cameras have to be directly connected to the NVR? Also, home LAN is configured on 192.168.0... The NVR is 192.168.254... The NVR sp4 is 192.168.0..... The cameras are all on 192.168.0.... I did port forward the NVR port
  6. TY Shockwave, I will try this! By chance, Is the Dahua the same as the Hikvision? I did some research and the Sxann 8CH 3mp is exactly the same hardware and firmware
  7. MGB, you are correct, I found that area, however, It is unclear to me what to enter where (as noted in my initial post). Could you give me any insight, or anyone else? I can not get the NVR allowing the viewing of live cameras, even though ports (incl 554) are forwarded corectly and I am able to view via internet into BlueIris Any help would be appreciated

  9. Hi all second thread as newbie - HAve a pretty well working Hik NVR, but have not figured out how to input No-IP DDNS information. The NVR asks for: Server Address Domain user name password If my no-ip account has a host name of somename@no-ip.biz Would Somename@no-ip.biz be the server name or would it be no-ip.bi What would Domain be?
  10. Hi all, new here at CCTV forum. I recently purchased a 16ch Hik NVR 7616 and am pretty happy with it and 8 hikvision IP cameras. So far, setting up was not too difficult. Everything is running, recording, and am able to log into NVR via Explorer. 2 questions but will use separate threads" 1- I used IVMS 1* nd was able to connect to NVR - then installed updated software vs 2 - now the program starts, goes through the percentages of loading, then - nothing! I installed as Admin, rebooted. Still nothing? Any ideas?
