  1. I have old swann dvr Dvr9-2400 , will a lorex camera work with it? Thanks
  2. I am using swanview link software on my pc and my iPhone etc, and sometimes it would be nice to be able to jump to a point in time and start playback from there, the app on the iPhone only allows me to start at the 30 minute increment. The app on pc lets you pick the presaved 30 minute increment videos and view them, but the scrubber to move along is a pain as you cant fast forward, or go to a point in time. You can push the scrubber along but it is time consuming. Thanks for your help I have DVR9-4200 with PRO-751PTZ both by swann etc.
  3. I have had the swann system for a long time now. I would like improved features. it is getting old now. Is there a way I can update the software on my DVR to something much better or an open source software? I have about 5 cameras and they are all wired into the dvr 9 4200. Thanks Cat
  4. IT seems the tests are ok, and within the normal limits. the status says it is good on the dvr etc. but at random times, all the cameras stop recording for several hours. I reboot and nothing, (sometimes all the playbacks are not there and a reboot fixes that) but in these cases, all cameras fail or video not being recorded. What should I do? Thanks Cat
  5. I was in touch with tech support, they told me to download the SwannView Link app for my iphone. it hooks up directly with the DVR using their peer to peer technology, (just add the UID or serial number of the DVR), and it works great. can view live cams in higher resolution and look at the captured video, awesome app.
  6. I just got this system from swann: DVR9-4200 9 Channel 960H Digital Video Recorder & 4 x PRO-643 Dome Cameras model - SWDVK-942004D The system seems to work fine and capture video nicely. I am having trouble with the remote streaming on my iphone. The video is not smooth and is delayed. Not real time. I have a trendnet IP cam and that works great, real time and no delays. I can only assume that it is because it is going to the dvr and then to the cameras etc. the trendnet IP cam goes directly to the cam and I guess that is why it is faster. is there anything I can do to make the video stream faster when viewing remotely? Thanks Cat
