I would really appreciate the help ... I just want to buy some thing good and not have any regrets.

I have a night owl set and it is unbearable, there are a lot of theft in the area of my business. I need something good to catch these B*****Ds in there tracks. I'm looking for a 8 channel system 4 cameras or so for now... I've read Dahua mentioned alot here for there NVRs. basically I looked at Sec-NVR-Dahua-3208-P but I need to know if it can notify me right away when it detects motion on the property ? also I need cameras... I need something with very good night vision and high resolution so I can see the licence plates on their vehicles (they take thousands of dollars worth of diesel when they hit) I see some mentioning TVL and some mention 1080p... is there a big step up from 800TVL to 1080p? I need something that will last and actually help catch these criminals the police cant.

Hey guys... I found this thread on google, I have some questions if someones got the knowledge. is SVAT the same SH** as swann/lorex/night-owl/etc? I used night owl its ok but I want to be able to catch licence plates at night time on my yard. Other than brand wise is there a big difference from 800TVL to 1080?
