  1. Hi We are a small business and require 2 IP cameras to monitor the entrance and car park. They need to be able to record on motion 7 days a week day & night. We have a limited budget but would like to be able to view the cameras remotely, a mobile app would be a bonus, record on motion and store the videos on our server for a rolling 2 week period. I have chosen the below cameras after weighing up price/performace: (Hikvision DS-2CD2032-I 3MP IR Mini Bullet Camera) http://www.icctvsystems.co.uk/Item/DS-2CD2032-I?gclid=CMOH3-6cs8ECFQHlwgodgEkAbQ Software wise I've been looking at Sighthound for $60 as it seems to tick all the boxes: https://www.sighthound.com/download Finally we will need some PoE injectors as our network switch isn't power over internet compatible, I was thinking of using something like below and just using the injector part as we won't need the splitter. http://www.ebuyer.com/263592-tp-link-tl-poe200-repeater-external-up-to-100-m-tl-poe200?utm_source=google&utm_medium=products&gclid=CO6_1M2es8ECFfMZtAodukgAxQ We will then need some cabling to connect everything together, will just normal cat5e ethernet cable work rated for outdoor use: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/10m-OUTDOOR-USE-cat5e-Ethernet-Network-Cable-PVC-Lined-External-BLACK-10-METRE-/121455671007?pt=UK_Computing_NetworkingCables_RL&hash=item1c475276df I would appreciate any comments on this setup, it is budget and comes in at around £250 / $400 for everything. Thanks
  2. Thanks for your help. Would the software allow us to record on motion and access the cameras remotely? I will see what I can find on google about it, thanks
  3. Hi, I posted this on another section but thought it might be more appropriate here. We are a small company who would like to mount two external fixed IP cameras also suitable for night time recording. I would like to put some software on one of our PCs where we can monitor the cameras, remotely view the cameras and record on motion, if there was an app this would be a bonus too. Unfortunately we are on quite a tight budget of £200-£250 for everything. I'm really not sure what cameras we need but something decent would be good and HD even better but not sure if our budget will stretch. As for software, I have seen Sighthound for $60 to cover 2 cameras with remote access etc but not sure if it comes recommended? What I'm after is some recommendations on what would be a good system, good cameras to use etc? Thanks for any help. David
