  1. Its a nice camera...when you install it make sure that the lens is clean inside and out and that there is nothing near the IR that will cause ir reflection (or fog)...make sure the foam gasket around sits flush with the dome cover so that it prevents ir bleed. Thanks for the tip!
  2. Thanks for the link again. Upon further research, I've decided on the HikVision from Aliexpress. http://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/HIKVISION-DS-2CD2732F-I-S-New-High-Quality-varifocal-lense-30-meters-3MP-IR-dome-network/638300_1397052579.html Pretty feature rich dome that fits my bill.
  3. Thanks for the suggestion! I'm also looking at the Hikvisions. Possibly considering the dome as well.
  4. Hello, I'm new to the CCTV world. I'm considering to install a security camera to monitor my driveway for my new house. I currently have a Synology 412+ NAS which I would like to utilize it with the Surveillance Station. I would like to keep the camera under $200. I found this DAHUA IPC-HFW4300S that looks like it will fit my bill and my need. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00H2VSTG2/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pd_S_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=3O5INHD5BMSOY&coliid=I1V0DZRB3B29AL Does anyone have suggestion or tips for my setup? Or if you have any cameras to recommend? What I'm looking for in the camera is, - Good day/night footage - Compatible with Synology NAS - PoE support - Affordable (not more than $200) - Reliable - Outdoor/weatherproof - Motion Detection Thanks in advance!
