We are still in the bidding process, the company says that they want an PoE system that's why I conclude they need IP cameras but they also said that the cameras we will give them must be fiber optic ready. And on my previous question here in this forum, someone said that PoE can't be run using fiber optic. What's your opinion Sir?

Boogieman that's the reason why am I confused, it is just the requirement of the company that invite us as a bidder for there CCTV system. But during the pre-bid they also said that they want to meet us because they are not CCTV experts and we can correct them for any mistakes with there plan.

Good day Boogieman, your reply is really appreciated. I'm now in a company that offers CCTV System and a company invite us as one of their bidders. They want a PoE type of system but they also said that the CCTV cameras must be fiber optic ready, they will be providing fiber optic cables for the whole system. You mean sir that it is just an IP camera that they need? I'm quite confused for as far as I know, not all IP cameras are fiber optic ready.
  10. Given a same CCTV, can you have a camera frame rate of 8-12 fps and a video capture of 30fps, I mean, why does they have a different fps since they are just the same camera? Please help, I badly need to figure this out.

If a CCTV system is said to be fiber optic ready what does it mean? Other requirement is that it is PoE (Power over Ethernet) so I assume to use only IP cameras, but what does fiber optic ready CCTV System mean? Please help me, I'm just new with my work. Thanks.
