  1. I've got some Hikvision and Foscam cameras that I want to be able to view on the same application side-by-side. For the Hikivisions cams I'm using iVMS-420, although been resource hungry this does the job for the Hik cams, but I can't view the Foscam cams with this. I'm after a simple program that can just view the different camera feeds and display them on the screen. I'm not looking for software monitor (motion detection etc...), not looking for servers or anything, just a program that connects directly to the cameras. I played around with vlc (mosaic) viewing the rstp feeds, but setting this up was too complicated.
  2. Nothing is wrong with the normal way, I love normal. What is this client software you speak of?
  3. Whats the best way/program to view multiple rtsp streams in one window? I can view each cam individually in vlc using: rtsp://admin:password@192.168.1.111/h264/ch1/main/av_stream I don't want to record/transcode or anything like that, just view the rtsp stream straight from the camera on my local network
  4. yep, focus was out. Look better now?
  5. Just installed a new Hikvision DS-2CD2532F-IWS. After setting it up and putting all the quality settings to max, I'm not really satisfied with the results. I've seen other sample videos online and they seem better than mine...or do they? I'm not really sure. I'm I expecting too much with this camera? In the test video anything past the steps, on the left hand side, seems to be out of focus, and there is no way to adjust the focus on this camera. What does everybody think? youtube video link
