  1. I'm buying a system with the power being supplied directly from the NVR. I will be running very long distances. Also how can I extend the range of it if necessary? https://q-see.com/collections/ip-hd-kits/products/16-channel-4k-ultra-hd-ip-security-system-with-16-4k-h-265-bullet-cameras-qc826-16et-6

Why does my camera get fuzzy?

The camera is powered from a 16 channel power supply box. The cable length is ran from the 5th Floor to the 1st Floor. Thanks
  3. New rg59 was ran to the camera. From time to time the camera would get fuzzy and go black. Then it would go back to normal. I included a picture. Thanks http://imgur.com/jgv6lEU
  4. Thank you very much for your help.
  5. I am using Siamese Cable with RG59. The power source is coming from a power supply box. The camera was fine for couple months and now the flickering is happening.
  6. Towards the 15th second mark, you can see where the camera is flickering. During the night time, the camera seems to be more stable. Thank you
  7. Yes, that's the idea. Just carefully drill the needed holes. Search around on the net or in store, there might be a stronger one (It's hard to tell how thick/strong that one is form the photo). It should be ok, cameras don't have much weight, unless a fat bird decides to nest on top of it. Almost any box cover can be used. If the camera doesn't have a moisture cap of the cable (or if you can't use it) electrical tape is perfect. Here's another box, with a cover too. And it's very strong. http://www.homedepot.com/p/Carlon-15-15-cu-in-Type-X-Round-Conduit-Body-E970CDE-CTN/100404094?N=5yc1vZbohnZ1z0usncZ1z116nv Thank you very much. You have been very helpful. Do you know what kind of conduit is compatible with that junction box?
  8. Can you provide me links to items needed for a conduit installation for rg59 cables? How do you connect bullet cameras to the junction box? Thank you
  9. I'd suggest something like this http://www.homedepot.com/p/Bell-1-Gang-5-Hole-Non-Metallic-Round-Electrical-Box-PRB57550WH/202284522 and this to cover http://www.homedepot.com/p/Bell-1-Gang-Round-Blank-Plastic-Cover-White-PBC300WH/204155109?MERCH=REC-_-NavPLPHorizontal1_rr-_-NA-_-204155109-_-N. They come in other colours too. Could I attached the camera onto the blank cover?
  10. I am using a QH8003B bullet camera. What kind of junction box should I use for it to conceal the connections and the cable coming out of the wall? Thank you very much.

Is it necessary to use conduit?

I bought this cable on ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/271067282319?_trksid=p2060778.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Is this cable ok for outdoor use with direct sunlight?
  12. Is it ok leaving outdoor rated Siamese cable outside exposed?
  13. Thanks, I never knew what they were called.
  14. What kind of terminating connectors to use for the power line to the camera?
  15. What kind of waterproof connectors can I use to terminate the ends? The rg59 and 18/2 power Thanks
