  1. DS-7104N-SN/P arrived and cameras work fine connected to that. I did get a 803.2af compliant PoE injector, they did not work even with that compliant device. FYI.
  2. Progress. I now have power confirmed going to the camera. But SADP does not see it. I'm using some Linksys WAPPOE12 12v PoE adapter kit. Data sheet says it is 802.3 and 802.3u. The DS-2CD2132-I camera says it supports PoE 802.3af. Is this a significant difference (802.3 vs 802.3af)? The camera IR leds turn red for about 15-20 seconds, then go dark. SADP does not find camera on the network when they are on, or after they go dark. I do have a Hikvision DS-7104N-SN / P with 4 Ethernet ports surveillance NVR POE ordered, it supports PoE and is from Hikvision, so I assume I will be okay once it arrives. But I was hoping to get the cameras installed prior to it arriving (in weeks). Thanks for any help.
  3. Full disclosure, I'm a complete noob. I have a DS-2CD2132-I 4mm camera, I see it supports PoE. I put a Cisco PoE injector in-line between my router and the camera. But I don't see any light on the camera to show it is getting any power. and the SADP software I installed on my pc does not discover the camera. Getting a tester from my brother tomorrow to see if i can verify the injector is working. Should this have worked?
