  1. Can anybody help me properly configure a ZMODO system? The model #ZMD DT-SCN8. I have a modem supplied by Internet provider and I have a separate ASUS routerRT-N66R. I have been able to configure so that I can see on my computer or monitor inside my home, however, never been successful at viewing remotely on my android phone. Need someone who is skilled or has the know how on port forwarding and such. I would greatly appreciate it. I've tried many different combinations/port numbers. At this point, I'm so confused, not sure where to begin again. Someone must be able to help?
  2. Can someone please assist me with configuring a ZMODO model #ZMD DT-SCN8. I've never been able to successfully configure it properly in order to access my cameras via my android phone. Starting with the IP address, subnet mask, gateway, primary DNS, media port, http port, net service. Then how to properly configure my router, which is an asus. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    ZMODO?

    I recently purchased and installed a 8ch ZMODO system. I continue to have problems viewing it from my cell phone. I can view from the computer monitor I have connected. It seems like it constantly times out when I try to remotely log in via my cell phone app. I will have to reboot the router and once rebooted, it will work. But again, won't last and will prevent me from from logging in remotely, until I reboot the router again. Not sure if it matters but I have a ASUS router. I also check and make sure the IP address hasn't changed. Any ideas? Greatly appreciate any help I can get. Very frustrating to say the least. Thank you.
  4. Sorry, realized I might have posted in wrong forum, therefore I'm reposting here. I'm in search of a good DVR to connect to my existing cameras. I initially purchased a zmodo 8 ch system, however, I've had nothing but problems with it since day one. For some reason I've always had an issue with being able to view cameras remotely on my phones. I've spent countless hours with their tech support with negative results. Anyway, can someone please recommend a decent dvr? I could probably use the hard drive in the zmodo dvr, I assume. It's 1TB. Can someone advise if this is possible. Would any dvr work with my existing cameras? Thank you in advance.

    Need advice w/zmodo system

    I initially entered the media port and http:// port #'s recommended by zmodo, however, it worked intermittently. I would then receive msg connection failed and could not view on my android phone. The port #'s used were 80, 34567, and 34599. Can u advise if these are correct?
  7. I have a zmodo 8CH 960H DVR that I've been having trouble connecting remotely on my android device. I've attempted numerous times to contact tech support with little to no help. Can someone please help with this? It seems like the problem is with port forwarding. I have a Asus router. So frustrating, please help.
