  1. Yes data protection act, the rights of the 3rd party.
  2. Stay away from lorex, look at Hikvision NVR and Huisun Camera's both are using Hikvision protocol and no problems with language mismatch issues with high quality images.

Best IP Camera brand that you use.

Sorry, I'm going to disagree. Axis high price low quality. 1. HIKVISION 4 line series (Clear winner) 2, Samsung 3, Hikvision 2 line series 4, Huisun (Google it) 5, Panasonic 6, Avacont 7, Sony 8, Axis 9, Avigilon I could go on, but most of the IP above 2mp are slowly getting better.

    32ch install nightmare

The images are all over the place due to ground balance, the simple way to fix this is to ground the DVR to the power supply feeding the camera's. There is an Earth point on the rear of the nvr just connect that to -over And all will be clear. Next time use IP equipment, or rj45 passive splitters to keep things tidy, no one likes a messy install.
  5. I can't believe you guy will happily pay that sort of money out on PC licensees to add an extra camera. on software that at best is still development. Stick to Blue Iris at least you get what you pay for.
  6. Google this " whoslooking 5.3.0 downgrader " you will find the answer to fixing your camera, is in a different forum that I'm not allowed to mention. Your Camera is running in min-system recovery mode and is not bricked or damaged in any way. All the Best Whoslooking

    HIKVISION tweaking

Good try at restoring 5.3.0 to work like before, but as you have found out and modifications will cause the system to reboot on CRC failure. If you need your camera's to be multi-language like in older version and avoid the miss-match issue. Then use my 5.3.0 to 5.2.5 downgrader.
  8. Wow wait, a 4Mp camera. If that resolution is not supported by the NVR, it won't work. Recording resolution 5MP/3MP/1080p/UXGA/720p/VGA/4CIF/DCIF/2CIF/CIF/QCIF The 7104NI-SL/W supports 1080p(2MP) 3MP and even 5MP, but not 4MP. Not a problem with bitrate, but with supported resolutions. A firmware update might solve that on the NVR sometime in the future, I don't know.
  9. Then I take it you did not use my downgrade. That will take you down to 5.25 from 5.30. Google and you will find.

    HIKVISION tweaking

Your using the wrong firmware this is for 2XX2 your Using 2XX0 version
  11. This would be a first build 5.2.5 and does not have the same blocking as the next build of 5.2.5 01/2015
  12. There are 8 POE inputs plus a further 8 Cameras can be added via the lan connection, so it's really 8+8 you either fit a POE switch or locally power the other 8 cameras.
