  1. Hi guys, I need some help with a 32-CH DS-9632NI system I'm using from HIKVISION. We have 20 IP cameras installed from a PoE switch to the NVR. The NVR is connected to the 8-CH decoder (DS-6408HDI-T Decoder) via ethernet. The client wants to output to 5 different monitors (via HDMI and BNC). Each monitor is in a different room and will be displaying the same content: -all 20 cameras -3 pages (rotating) of 4x2 Please advise!
  2. Hi all, Does anybody know if there's a function in iVMS (for Windows) to temporarily turn off recording for a specific camera? The recording is being done at the NVR, not the PC. iVMS is being used to live view the systems. Thanks!
  3. I already have a 'local' and a 'remote' setting on the phone iVMS. I thought it was just a work around because I was doing something wrong. Since not being able to connect with dyndns while on my local network is how it's supposed to work, what's the solution when using iVMS on Windows? If I have a laptop and sometimes I need to view it from my local network, and sometimes Ihave to view it when i'm away, do I need to 'add' the cameras to my live view everytime?
  4. Remote Viewing problem! I can't connect/view the servers when I'm connected to the local network. HIKVISION DVRs, iVMS, and DynDNS (i.e. example.dyndns.org) Setup Router IP: 192.168.1.1 DHCP Server: enabled DDNS: setup with dydns account, and the example.dyndns.org as the host. Port Forwarding: HTTP - 80 / RSTP - 10554 (also tried 554) / SDK 8000 --- These ports are forwarding to the IP address of the DVR (192.168.1.100) DVR IP Address: 192.168.1.100 Default Gateway: 192.168.1.1 Preferred DNS: 8.8.4.4 Alternate DNS: 8.8.8.8 Server Port: 8000 HTTP Port: 80 RSTP Port: 10554 iVMS address: example.dyndns.org port: 8000 user: admin password: example NOW, if I'm on my phone and it's connected the WIFI broadcasted from the same router the DVR is connected to, it will not connect. If I turn my phone to use data and I'm disconnected from the router, it will connect. What am I doing wrong?

  6. Hi all, I'm having some trouble setting up a system. I have a 32CH HIKVISION NVR w/ 16CH built-in PoE. It also has 1 LAN port. I have a 16CH PoE switch. This has 2 LAN ports (G1 + G2). I assume I connect the LAN port on the NVR to G1 on my PoE Switch. (Is it required that I add a router into this mix??) Problem: The NVR is only recognizing 16CH, and the 16 cameras from the PoE switch are not recognized. The NVR's internal NIC IP is 192.168.254.1, and all the cameras connected are 192.168.254.* The LAN NIC currently has DHCP enabled. It auto recognizes the IP as 0.0.0.0 because if I try to put it on the 192.168.254.* subnet, it conflicts. HOW DO I GET THE SYSTEM TO RECOGNIZE THE 16 CAMERAS FROM THE PoE SWITCH?
  7. I have a DS-7604NI-SE NVR with 2 IP cameras with built-in mics. I am having a problem when I export the video that the video/audio are a bit out of sync. The cameras are recording at 1080P / 15FPS / 2560kbps. If I record at a higher FPS, the video lags. The two issues the client is having are: 1. The audio/video are a bit out of sync. How can I correct this issue? Is it being slightly out of sync acceptable for IP systems? 2. They say the mic quality is not good enough for what is needed. What other option for an external mic do we have? • I.e. can we run an external mic into the NVR’s audio-in port that would record to both channels? Please advise, thanks!
  8. I am recording using continuous + manual operation. When I export the video, it exports as multiple video files. Is there any way to export it to a single file? The number of files also does not correlate to a specific size or time. For example, I could export 10 minutes of footage, and it will be 6 files; some till be 58 seconds, some will be 6 seconds, some will be 4 minutes. Please advise.
