  3. I have a HIKVISION Video Access Control DS-KV8102-IM. Its is POE powered and pretty easy to setup with the screen also POE but i am having an issue connecting to my door strikes I have two doors one inside the other which i want both to open at once. The output on the hikvision door station is dc power . my door strikes (they came with the door) one is ac power and one is dc. I m not an access control expert have installed systems but straight forward ones. any help would be appreciated

  5. I am trying to get pcnvr setup . I have all the cameras coming into one pc on a 10... domain with no gateway on that nic. I have a separate nic attached to my router with internet. trying to keep any camera traffic from being on the local network. How do I tell the derver software to use the nic with the gateway so i can access the cameras from outside.?
  6. Any setting I need to do in blue iris? Also do i need a router on the 10.x. or can i just use a switch ( i have a poe l3 managed switch which i guess i can setup but trying to avoid)
  7. i have my poe switch on 10.20.10.x but my computers in the office are on 192.168.1.x. iwant to be able to access the camera directly from one of the computers . I also want to put blue iris on that switch but i want to be able to access the BI machine form one of the office computers. I know i can throw a router on there give the cameras their own static wan ip and access them for the outside but if i want to keep them off the internet directly with just BI web server being accessible from the net through the office wan what would be the best way to set ip up. I have two nics in my BI machine. thanks
  8. I was planning on getting the 3mp. Wasn't sure if I needed 2.8 or 4 because I want to see what is coming out of the doors on the side in the picture. I would like to see a face
  9. I am installing a small installation of 12 cameras. Three to monitor the front of a store that's configured like a big U wher the store is long and narrow by each leg of the U and there are actually other stores in the center. Anyways it has a hallway about 90 ft deep and 4ft wide. Which hikvision camera should i use to monitor the length of the hallway or is it too long and i need two? In general any reason to use dome or bullet or just mounting preference? What would you recommend in front
