Remove timestamp of recording HikVision NVR

The IP camera has it off, this is the time/date from the NVR
  2. So this guy has been cutting the catalytic convertors off cars all over town. I've pulled video from many, this is the best shot that I currently have. He walks from the bottom of the screen to the top and his back is facing the camera. He peeks around the corner then leans against the wall. When he does this you could see his face but the timestamp is right over his face (see pic). I pulled this from a HikVision NVR , I think the model number was a DS-7608. It seem to only allow me to pull the video as an MP4 though I could pulled the player as several other. I moved the current date/time to the lower corner for the owner and also hoped that it would move the time stamp on the previously recorded data as well but it did not. I also converted the MP4 to an AVI hoping to loose the metadata which also didn't work. I have also uploaded into YouTube and can upload it into a google drive or oneDrive
  3. I’m in the US. The camera system will be on its own network and will not include any interview rooms. The network it would be on still has a pretty serious firewall. I can’t imaging the NUC being able to run everything. It’s got windows 10 on it but it’s no beast. I’m kinda leaning towards the unifi UNVR it’s got SFP+ (10gbps fiber) attachment. It will do 15 cameras in 4G for 30 days on 8TB hard drives on raid5 with redundancy that’s hotswapable and has its own nvr software built into it (called protect). Sounds like I can put 12TB drives in it though. I only just hate being locked into a vendor and it will only support unifi cameras. I’m still reading a bunch about the system and not sure about a bunch of it. A large car dealer here has a large unifi UNVR system here... 50 cameras on 1 UNVR. Their lot is well lit but I can read tags on their 3G cameras of any car coming or going and their cameras are all 30ft in the air. But Monday I’m going to go check it out.
  4. It’s going to go in a police department. It will have 6 dome cameras inside as well. I was going to get them that match the manufacture of the NVR. At this point I’m looking doing a unbiquity file server or finding some other 4K cameras that are pOE and have a mechanical zoom (manual is fine) and it’s looking like the h265 is the way to go if I don’t do a file server. We also have a Dahua door access controller that is managed thru a NUC mini pc it’s also hooked to a keypad/ RFID badge reader. The mini PC has SmartPSS and NVR software but we currently have no IP cameras but I would also like to stream one or 2 of the cameras to it.
  5. Well... I’m not sure if this plan is going to work. It looks like the HikVision 7700 series supports the ONVIF protocol but doesn’t have a rtsp preprogrammed. The ubiquity cameras support rtsp but not ONVIF. I’m pretty certain that the rtsp can’t support 12mp?
  6. I am looking at building a NVR system... Im looking at having around 13 cameras my list is 3 - UniFi 4G pro, 4 - Unfi 3G pro’s and 6 dome cameras in the 2 or 4 MP range. I need 2 with very good sound.. any suggestions would be great. (POE) I am looking at the HikVision DS-7732NI-I4 with pOE. In the part number I’ve figured out the 77 is the series 32 is the channels then I’ve seen K4, I4, Q4 and E4 and the end but not sure what the letter is but figure the 4 is the amount of sata drives supported. I’m going to plug the majority of the cameras in the actual NVR and then use then map a few. Which I’m hoping this NVR will allow me to do. When reading the specs... I’m worried about this stat ... 2ch-12mp@20fps/ 4ch-8mp@25fps/ 8ch-4mp@30fps/16ch-1080p@30fps. The 4K cameras (3 of them) I’m hoping to be able to read plates on cars if need be. But I’m going to be setting them up on motion based recording and wondering if I can set 3 cameras to record at 12mp@20fps? Are there any other frame rates available in the 12mp resolution? Then if I can set all 3... if there is motion does it drop them to 8mp? Then the cameras that will require sound recording..... i have a Unifi/ ubiquity G3 that I have recording to a Dahua NVR, which for some reason if I open the rtsp stream it has sound or if I go to the camera in a web browser I have sound but inside the NVR the "sound" is a loud static noise. The NVR has “alarm” inputs. Which I’m hoping to add some sort of glass break sensor that would actually notify users with the app on the phone ... is this possible or are the alarms more for camera recordings ? Then... will this unit allow multiple users to where user 1 will have access to all channels and user 2 will only have channels 1-4?

Dahua NVR3408 NVR, Cant connect IP cameras

I have the IP set set staticly, and I have the IP address which is what I type in the browser to get to "web service" I can see the IP and MAC address of the nvr when I goto the IP of my router ..192.168.0.1... as a connected devise. Web services has a different SN than the NVR on it. Should I be typing in the mac as the SN to view p2p or remotely ?

Dahua NVR3408 NVR, Cant connect IP cameras

I still havent figured out the links for the dlinks. Thier wesbite does say the 932L has a rtsp: link but I dont think my NVR likes the set up. The IP4100VR I hooked up and tried various address with the use of the general drop down and the UDP checked.... finally this one worked rtsp://192.168.0.117/user=admin&password=&channel=1&stream=0.sdp and it is a camera with no password. The unif-G3 once I logged in gave me a RTSP URL of rtsp://192.168.0.104:554/s0 on the main page. I typed that in also as general and then click the TCP (after a few tries) I have an Iphone and downloaded iDMSS and I can few/playback whatever as long as im connected to my network. How do I connect to my NVR when im outside my network? I have found the QR code on my app, but I dont know what Im supposed to scan it with
  9. This is a NVR system. I assumed when I purchased it that i could just type in an IP address of each camera and wah-la. However I have a NVR3408v that is running webservices 3.1.0.4, (build date in 2014) im unable to figure out how to connect any of my IP cameras to it. I have 2x- Dlink 932L 1 - ubiquiti UVC-G3 1- ELP IP4100VR (came with NVR) I have tried the setup wizard directly thru the NVR and also the web based setup by typing in the IP address of the NVR then signing in. The Dlinks i have had for a few years and I can type in the IP and pull the live video feed right out and make changes. I have a Dlink router and a non PoE 8ch switch. The ELP I cant even get to connect to my network. The defalt IP is 192.168.1.10 where as everything on my network is 192.168.0.xxx. I have various software that came with that camera such as CMS, device manager,NetSKD ect ect. The dlinks i have typed in the username and password, IP address and the HTTP port as 80 and tried diffrent manufactures in the dropdown... nothing seems to connect them. Is there a newer version of SW for this NVR and what am I doing wrong? The instructions sound like I should beable to click the scan button and it would find the IP cameras My firmware also has the "general" and i have tried entering https://IP address and rtps:// IP adress and the webs service will not even save it
  10. Im working with a clover electronics 8 Channel LCD2284 DVR and we can not view anything because the file type is VDAT with is a proprietary format that clover used which requires a program called combo viewer to convert the format into a viewable video and no one has ever up loaded the software. Clover electronic went out of business a few years back and their websites "Clover-usa.com" are not even active any more. The systems were originally sold with a CD that had a program that you can view VDAT files or even convert them to AVI. The owner of the DVR says they never had the CD. I am hoping that someone would have a program that recognize the VDAT. I have tried media player classic, VLC, Mace, intellex, netviewer-swann, gopro sudio and windows media player. I downloaded iDVR-pro CMS but it looks like its for a PC based dvr system. Anyone know of another program?
