    Camera setup for a car

Looking to install a IP camera in my vehicle, both for use as a dashcam, but also to give remote access to video. My plan is to use a 4G router for connectivity and run both of a secondary 12v battery, with a voltage regulator. I currently use Hikvision cameras and have had a good experiences with them. I need something with SD recording, compact and good heat resistance, also 12v input.. I've had a look at Hikvision, Dahua and Geovision, but can anyone think of other systems that might work well for this application?
  2. Having a look at some of Dahua's access control boards http://www1.dahuasecurity.com/au/products/asc1204b-988.html There's not a lot of information online... but unsure of what the software/web interface is like or how reliable they are.. Anyone had any experience with their access control products?
  3. Thanks so much for the advice. I'll have a play around.
  4. Have been trying a few combinations of Resolution, Bitrate Type, Frame Rate and Max. Bitrate - Any suggestions about what I should select here for the best quality video in a daylight setting? Not so worried about frame rate, if it means better image quality. I am recording to the internal MicroSD. Camera is an Hikvision DS-2CD2732F-IS 3MP dome. Thanks
