is there a way to upgrade the number of cameras a Hikvision 7600 series NVR will support? I have a Swann 7090, and I recently upgrades it to the latest Hikvision firmware... all the ports on back are in use, but I have an ONVIF camera from Digital Watchdog on my LAN that i've been screwing around with... the NVR can see the camera, but i get a 'no more ip cameras allowed' message when i try to add it. is there a way i can change a jumper or use a different firmware to make this a 16 channel NVR?

does anyone know of a general info page about Swann DVR/NVR systems? I have a 7090 and a friend of mine has the 7200... I know the bell is the icon for an alarm, and the red motion picture reel/clapboard is for motion detected - but i have an icon showing which looks like a construction barrier. like a saw horse if you will, but the top is black and yellow striped. i can see the camera when at full screen but not on multi-view and i'd love ideas as to why, and would like to think the icon is a hint to the cause. anyone know of other icons i should look out for?

i go to the Hikvision site, and i dont see a 'compatibility chart' like found on the Swann site... but apparently Hikvision makes all the Swann cameras. i had someone buy a Swann NHD-815 and not be able to use it with their 7200 - but, the 7200 did notice and add the camera if it was connected to the local network and not the NVRs network. the NVR did not have total control (motion detection didn't work for example). so... is it safe to assume all Hikvision IP cameras will work with all Hikvision NVRs?

like... for example... is the Hikvision DS-2CD3332-I the same as the Swann NHD-836? they look the same except for the face color, but i'd prefer not to roll the dice and end up with cameras I can't use. and as i mentioned before, i'm hoping to find a mini dome with night vision.

does anyone have a chart of the Hikvision to Swann model numbers? or... does anyone know if or which of the hikvision mini domes are compatible with the Swann NVR8-7090 or 7200 NVRs? I search online and some of the Swann cameras are mentioned in blogs or other sites showing their Hikvision equivalent, and it's easy to figure things out with the Swann compatibility chart, but some of the Hikvision products haven't been rebranded by Swann, and I'd like to see what all the options are. short of buying every possible camera and NVR and connecting them up and making a chart of my own, I'm not sure where to start... i've been searching online, and haven't found the information. if i'm just not looking in the right place, i'm happy to do my own research, but so far i've had no luck, so any direction that's helpful is appreciated. thanks!
