Qsee: Can't hear audio on recorded Hard Drive

Thank you for the tip! Hopefully I will have time this weekend to give it a try.
  2. This was an old QSD-2316L system. We no longer use it, but have many hard drives that were recorded with it. When reviewing these hard drives on a computer, the video shows up fine but the audio is missing. Audio was recorded and played back fine when still in the qsee machine. But, once removed and put into a computer, only video is present. If I return the hard drive to the Q-see machine, it will ask me to reformat the hard drive. Obviously if I do that, the video and audio will be lost forever. There are no other options except "reformat" to try when a recorded hard drive is put back into the Q-see machine. I have tried several players including VLC without luck. Does anyone have any ideas? Any help would be much appreciated!
  3. just wanted to say thanks to those that responded. Glad for the info
  4. Hello everyone. I'm new to the forum and have an install question I hope you can help me with. I'm running two DVR's which sit next to each other. Is it possible to split the signal of one of the cameras from the one DVR, and feed the signal into both DVR's? If so, what is the best way to do it?
