  1. I as a rule don't install or upgrade CCTV systems. That said I got asked to upgrade some cameras for a older couple who lives next door. They have limited funds and want to upgrade the 8 cameras they have. They have a QSEE QS4816 DVR and have 8 600TVL cameras, they have night vision and the cameras cover the entire property. However being they are 600tvl they don't have the best resolution. My question is this, or should I say there question is, can they upgrade the cameras to something better then 600tvl (700-1000) that will work with they system and will give them better resolution but also a low, low price.? As I said I don't install for people. The only CCTV installs I have done are for my in-laws and my own. Suggestions please
  2. I only have experience installing CCTV systems in homes and in mall stores, so I wasn't dealing with the highest quality of cameras. I just got requested by my wife's boss to install a security system at one of his motels. He doesn't care how much is costs, but he wants total and complete coverage of the entire property, office, laundry facilities, walk ways, parking lot, pool, etc, etc. So here is my question. What is the best system out there that is wired with HD (1080 or 4K), weather proof (including Florida thunderstorm and tropical storm/hurricane), vandal proof, can deal with cold and heat (Northern Florida winter cold and florida summer hot as well as commercial laundry room hot), night vision. I don't care if it is analogue or HD-SDI. And it needs to support at least 32 cameras and it doesn't need PTZ. Suggestions
