  1. This is not what I meant. The best for me would be the most complete video recorder as possible but also allows to be controlled from a Mac (not necessarily a dedicated Mac application but you can take remote control for example, or that works via a web browser). I now know that Synology that allows this with SS, but I do not know if there are other such systems. But also, I would like to know, from the point of view of experts, if SS is a good NVR system.
  2. Yes sure, but Surveillance Station works perfectly on Mac via a Web browser When I say "works on Mac" I mean you can access and set the NVR, see records etc... Like SS
  3. Hi everybody ! Simple question : without taking into account money, do you think that Synology (with Surveillance Station) is the best/complete/efficient/reliable/secure NVR for a IP surveillance system ? If you think no, what is the best NVR system ? Thank you ! PS : It's important that it works with Mac !
  4. Hello everybody I'm French and I am greatly helped by Google Translate, so sorry if there are errors in spelling or grammar. My mother have a small business and as I am passionate about CCTV cameras, she asked me to install two IP cameras to prevent theft and assault. I use everyday a NAS Sinology for my files and I love the interface. I discovered the Surveillance Station interface and I very like it! I thought so use a Synology NAS using Surveillance Station as NVR, do you think this is the best NVR system? In terms of cameras, I bought two in China, two IP cameras with 720p image quality. I realized the installation that seemed best to test everything. Here is a diagram of the installation: http://nsa38.casimages.com/img/2016/05/01/160501062228300484.jpg And a photo: http://nsa38.casimages.com/img/2016/05/01/160501062531901513.jpg Both cameras appear well in the Surveillance Station interface, but you can not watch live cameras, and everything is extremely slow ... I've made a video to show you the cameras interface and Surveillance Station interface: https://youtu.be/dmeLGbaWm3I https://youtu.be/dmeLGbaWm3I Do you think the cameras are misconfigured? Or that the problem is Synology NAS? Thank you in advance for your help !
