  1. I've purchased an IQEye 511 camera off of ebay after owning one for a few years. When I got it, it wouldn't get an IP address or show on the network, so I did a hardware reset on it. After it boots, I can get an image through the RCA port on the back, but for the life of me, I can't get this thing to work on the network. It seems like it won't do a hardware reset at all. When I reset it, the light on the back blinks between red and green, and seems to go through a boot, but it fails to get DHCP. I've plugged it into a HUB and connected up wireshark, and there doesn't appear to be any traffic coming from the camera's MAC, despite the activity light on the back going nuts. The only thing that does come from the camera is a NTP Client broadcast packet ever 300 seconds, which corresponds to the manual where it says it will try and get DHCP every 5 minutes. I don't even see a DHCP request though. I contacted the seller and they sent me a few additional try and all seem to have the same issue. Not sure if maybe they have something custom going on with them that has the reset disabled or something, but I thought it was odd that I couldn't see any network traffic from them in wireshark. I even connected the camera ethernet directly to my laptop and there was still nothing going on. My network is set up to hand out IPs in the 192.168.1.x network range. I've even set up a static reservation for the MAC address of the camera. I was just wondering if anyone could give me any additional advice to try.
