    Ip camera systems

Hi, Why bother building one yourself unless you need more dramas in your life?. I have a nephew who has a degree in computer science whatever that is and he was clueless when I asked him to see if he could sort out some problems I had with my el cheapo cctv system. I ended up sorting out the problem myself (faulty power adaptor). CCTV is becoming cheaper by the day and you don't need to be a rocket scientist to set one up especially if you are handy with computers. Just my experience

I'm starting to think that stealing is in the genes in PH so I set up a cheap new copyright violated 8ch cctv from China and so far it's still working after six months. I was involved in security surveillance in my home country but I'm no expert at tech stuff....just enough to get me out of trouble so I hope to advance my knowledge here and hopefully help other newbies here in the process.

Did I make the right choices?

10 TB even for HD seems a lot if you only need it to check for stolen garden ornaments each morning unless of course you are out of town for a week but even then, you could save disc space by using motion detect only.
