Cameras going black with white wavy lines at night...

Upon closer inspection and some help from YouTube. It looks like the IR Cut Filter is stuck in the closed position which is keeping the camera(s) view black at night. The LED's are working at night, but the filter is working against the LED's... no night vision. Opened the cameras up and it looks like an electrical shutter and not a mechanical. This explains why the new camera was clicking on and off when my headlight shined on the photocell(LED board). The others that are not working are not clicking(stuck shutter:IR Cut Filter). Guess I need new cameras?... Thanks for the help...

Cameras going black with white wavy lines at night...

OK... I ordered a couple new cameras... plugged them in and one is working fine in the day and in the night. The other has a problem like my existing cameras and is being returned. Great night vision on the one that is working. The power supplies are working fine, not the problem... I ordered some LED boards and was supposed to get the FY-3036 to replace the ones in my existing cameras, but received FY-5036. The FY-3036 has one plug to plug in and the FY-5036 have two plugs to plug in. Either way, they didn't work, even though the seller is saying they are the right ones, when they are not. Tackling that battle now... When installing the good one(new camera) , I noticed a clicking sound coming from the camera when I put my headlamp on it(installed it at night). This camera has great night vision. The others I have aren't clicking when I point a light on them. For some reason , I believe this is what is wrong with the other cameras. Again, they work fine during the day, but at dusk and night they go black and have no night vision. They did have night vision for years, but not now. So, what is the problem? Thanks

Thanks for the replys... I have a multimeter... can I check power supplys with it or do I need something specific...? What am I looking for, volts or amps or both? The power plugs are the mini type plugs, male/female. Ground Loops?... Huh? Thanks...
  4. Hello, First time here and need some help?... Have a CCTV system that has worked great for 6 years continuously. The cameras work fine during the day, but at dusk, they go black and have wavy white lines on the monitor. It started with two cameras, then two more and now, all are doing it(6). This has happened over the last two weeks. I'm thinking it has something to do with the IR, because they used to work great at night. Is this something that can be fixed with these cameras or do they need to be replaced? Thanks
