    One camera Installation Choice

Thank you both for the response. I think the Dahua would have been perfect for me but already bought a 4Ch 4Cam set up.

    Need Wide Angle Camera

Front porch installation, wide angle camera to cover horizontally 10 feet wide at 7 feet height. It can be bullet of dome, but WiFi plus maybe Ethernet for future connection. I found this indoor camera specs have the right view but back sunlight ruins face clarity in video lags: https://www.amazon.com/Wireless-Security-OPTJOY-Surveillance-Detection/dp/B01LVYV5QN/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1476838958&sr=8-1&keywords=1080P+Wireless+Security+Camera%2COPTJOY+HD+WIFI+IP+Camera Image Sensor: 1/2.7 Inch CMOS Lens:3.6mm Pixels:2MP Viewing Angle:115° Video Compressed Format:H.264 Resolution:720P Frame Rate:FHD 1080P/15fps Rate Voltage:5V 1.0A Weatherproof may not be necessary as the location is covered on all sides except front and the roof's eve is about 7.5 feet away. Please, please help. thanks.
  4. HD TVI Analog System Model BD-1424B1 from Amazon. Starter Video System. I plan to connect the DVR via Ethernet cable to my router and use an Android Smart Phone App. EVVIZ recommends connection to their service in order to access live viewing, playback, dvr controls. Are there any other options to achieve this or is the system all proprietary? thanks
  5. Thanks Lesst: That's a great idea and I may just do that. That sounds like the simplest and strong for South Florida thunderstorm winds.
  6. Need to install dome camera on a tv antenna pole. This is my very first installation. I am thinking of an inverted shelf bracket and hose clamps. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Please see image of bracket and camera:
  7. One camera to begin with then others. To mount to my TV antenna steel pole, about 20 ft off the ground, surveilling a side of my property, over my fence and little ways out, maybe 50ft or more unto a public street. Connectin directly to my router via Cat 5/RJ45. Like these: CCC Security Pros #CSP-IPAD3 but has no mounting bracket. http://www.cctvsecuritypros.com/inouhdip3med.html Foscam # FI 9961EP no mounting bracket; concerns about their support. http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/272380876287?lpid=82&chn=ps&ul_noapp=true Would like to keep under $300 for this one camera. Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks

    Hello!

Retired and loving it! Live in Miami, Florida and like to do things and learn things that I actually need or want. Have considered a CCTV system for some time but really didn't need it until now that my neighborhood is changing, after 19 years in the same home. I hope to get the information I need by joining this forum
