Lorex LH010 Blackbox - can't connect via web

Following up....connected via IE just fine. So, it appears to be browser based, apparently the Safari plugin is broken but there appears to be no way to uninstall it to attempt a reinstall. Perhaps not surprisingly Lorex isn't very responsive to a trouble ticket on the issue.
  2. Hey all...new guy here. Lorex LH010 "Blackbox" with 4 cameras - the budget (but capable enough for my needs) setup. All has worked beautifully for about 2 years. The main base unit is stowed securely in place that is very difficult to access (to avoid theft of the base unit in case of break in) therefore I access the unit 100% of the time via one of my Mac computers in the house via the browser based setup. The OSX/Mac browser plugin was never perfect, but it worked. About 2 weeks ago I started getting an error in my browser indicating that the plugin ("SurveillanceClient") was not installed. Without it, it's impossible to access the DVR as the browser simply dumps you out to the warning page prompting you to install it. However, I've tried installing/reinstalling several times without avail - the DVR seems to think the client isn't installed and simply returns me to the error page. I tried on an older Macbook (with an older version of Safari) with the same results, oddly enough. Everything else works fine - the unit seems to be booting fine, pings fine, responds via the web (with at least the error page), and my iPhone app for remote viewing works perfectly as well. I just can't get it to recognize that the plugin is actually installed and let me access the login/playback portal. Any ideas? I'm working on trying to get a Windows machine to test via IE, the only other supported browser.
