  1. I am looking for recommendations for an IP NPR camera to add to an existing residential system. Camera will need to have good night time vision of 10-12 meters, as the village here has no street lighting. Camera will be mounted up out of reach, so can be either a bullet or dome. The camera does not need to automatically recognise number plates as such - just be good enough to allow them to be viewed either live or via the recording. Thanks, Dan
  2. Hello all, X-Vision IP kit; the cameras and NVR's. What is it like? Can seem to find little in the way of reviews. I've used analogue SD X-Vision kit in the past and it has proved to be very good whilst being "sensibly" priced! Looking at the 4MP IP stuff for a relevantly high-end domestic installation. 7/8 cameras + 16 channel NVR (to allow for future expansion). Many thanks! Dan

    UNIVIEW - IP RANGE

Hi all, Many thanks for your replies. I've ended up going with Samsung Wisenet III kit for this job, as it has a reputation and I've worked with it before. However, I'm considering getting some UNV kit out on demo, since it seems to offer a lot for the money and what (little) reviews I have found, seem to suggest its very good. Alex
  4. Hi All, Have got a contract in the UK to install a high-end large residential IP CCTV system. Am just trying to settle on a brand and one of my suppliers (CCTV Direct) here in the UK stocks UNIVIEW kit. I understand this is very high-end kit and the specs are impressive and fits the bill for the design I have created. However, I cannot seem to find much in the way of user/installer reviews. Anyone used it and can give me a heads up? Happy New Year to all. Thanks, Alex
