I actually fixed it the day before, removed the battery from the circuit board waited 30 minutes to do a factory reset of the board and hey presto it works.

Hello, I have a new HIKKVISION DS-7204HQHI-F1/N/A, I have installed the hard drive that came with the DVR, connected everything up but when I turn on the power the following occurs. The DVR screen appears on my monitor for a few seconds then goes off & my screen goes black, then several seconds later the DVR does 3 short beeps followed by 2 fast beeps, it then repeats this about every 30 seconds, any ideas?
