  1. I was playing around and have actually managed to get it working. I set the NVR's internal IP address as the IP Domain on the IVMS-4500 app. Problem is that when not on WIFI, I have to manually switch to external IP address, so its not ideal. Previously it was working through the DDNS, so it was picked up both at home and away without the need to switch IP addresses Not sure if the systems was first set up with p2p, barcode. An installer set it up for me. My original installer said that I should open the DMZ. Wondering why you mentioned that it should never be left open? Would that make me more open to hackers? Also, would I have to open up the port 80, 8000, etc if switching off the DMZ? thx
  2. Hi. Yes, the laptop and the iPhone are connecting to the same WIFI. The laptop works, the iPhone doesn't. But the iPhone worked fine on WIFI before the router change. I have to keep switching onto 4G to get my iPhone to pick up the CCTV now. Any idea what the problem is?
  3. Hi I have been sent a 2nd replacement router from my ISP. I have installed it and I can access the NVR on my laptop via Wifi. I can also access the NVR on my iPhone via 4G (IVMS-4500 app). But I cannot access it on my iPhone via Wifi. This makes no sense to me. On my new router, I have assigned a DMZ to the NVR. I believe I do not have to open the ports because of the assignment of the DMZ (?). I went to canyouseeme.org and checked each of the ports 80, 554, 8000 & 443. All ports were open except for 443. I am not sure if this is related to the iPhone connection over WIFI problem. I tried to open the port just in case by selecting HTTPS (which I think is port 443?) and then the NVR's IP address. But it didn't work Can you please tell me how to fix this? Thanks!
  4. Hi. What other information do you need? Although I could view my nvr via my pic last night after the router change over, unfortunately this morning my nvr lost the link with my pc. So now I have no way to view the footage. And typically, for the first time, I now have a real need to view my CCTV. Overnight my nvr emailed pictures of someone hanging around my front door and driveway at 1:40am, so I am now very keen to get this working and see the footage!! I have just purchased a static IP address from my isp. I think this will help. Please tell me what information you need to get the ball rolling.
  5. Hi. We need to change the settings on our nvr as our broadband router has changed. We don't have a monitor connected to the nvr, so we want to use our laptop as the screen. We have connected the laptop to the nvr via hdmi, but we can't view the nvr. I think there is something quite simple that we must have missed. Any ideas? Please!
  6. Hi. My ISP sent me an updated router. I have installed the router, and I can view my Hikvision cameras through the IVMS-4200 PC software. But I cannot view them via the IVMS-4500 app on my iphone or ipad. I think there are settings that I must need to change, but I don't know which settings. I didn't install the system, so I am not sure where to start. Can anyone help? Thanks, SCGH
