  1. TechView Q-something 8 video-camera model. The problem is that the cameras don't all work at the same time. The unit comes with a 4 way camera psu, which powers 4 cameras properly. Then there are 4 more pre-existing site cameras with their own 4 way supply. Those 4 are picky about which BNC socket they will work on. One of them will not show video (video loss) but if its BNC is reconnected, it will start working, but one of the other new cameras will go offline. Is it earthing of the supplies? One is a switch-mode, not sure about the other, its hard to get at. Sometimes when reconnecting the power plug to a camera lead, the DVR will turn of and on... Yeah, since posting I have found that the problem is that the 4 newer cameras are Digital-over-coaxial models. The 4 older cameras are pure analogue. The DVR has 4 dedicated analogue BNC input sockets, which you must use for the older Analogue cameras, otherwise you get all those issues. The manual shows the port diagram and has (analogue) next to those 4 ports. The cameras don't say what they are though and don't come with a manual...so you have to guess.
