Ok will ring virgin up and get one. Also how do I go about setting it up on my phone/tablet through IVMS 4500. Another question comes to mind too will it slow or be any faster as it won't use their servers.

Is their a way to view my cameras directly through the Internet straight to my router as I have noticed the dvr uses hik connect domain/servers. I really don't want to rely on them as it's like having a middleman.

Hi all I have searched everywhere and still can not find the answer I need so I will ask my question and issue here. Okay I can view my cameras locally through its IP logging in with user and pass. What the actual problem is that when I want to take a snap shot or a recording on my PC using Windows 10. It says it's done it but the folder does not exist and when I created the folders in the directory specified in the message and go into it nothing is in that folder.

Yes that worked thank you but I was hoping to do it through chrome on my android phone. It seems like thier is no plug in for chrome mobile or desktop just Internet Explorer.

I was using this app on my phone and tablet through the internet all well and all of a sudden it started to ask for the verification code. I look underneath the box on the sticker and in the menu of the DVR, they are both the same as their are 6 random capital letters. So i enter this in and it says its wrong. The local network runs fine including internet explorer IP but the cloudP2P/Hikconnect through the internet does not work. So far tried to reinstall the programme as its doing it on any device and i have rebooted the box. Please help me i have got it for that reason of viewing online and bow its useless.

Hi everyone Can someone tell me how to live view my security cameras local IP through the web browser for android please. It keeps asking for a plug-in but it is not downloadable like the PC windows. Thanks a million.

Never mind i have figured it out, just have to find out my username and password on the DVR itself.

Hi i am new hope you guys can help. To be honest the question im asking here i would not know how to go about it even if i searched, but i do know a thing or two about computers in general. Anyways what i want to ask is i have been using IVMS-4500 on my android device and when i wanted to install this for my PC running windows 10, its asking me to get an android emulator. Now i was thinking someone by now would have made some kind of programme as its connected to the router and plugged into the house locally. So what i am trying to say is.... its fine using an android device via internet somewhere outside to get a live view. However inside the house how would i go about setting up locally through the router for a live view. Anyone know of a way with a simple guide to get it going if such a thing exists.
