  1. We currently have an old 16 Channel IP camera system in place, and it's time to replace it. Luckily, this means that all of the cables (Cat5e for the most part) have been run with the appropriate PoE switches, so essentially it's just an NVR and camera swap out. We're looking to increase the number of cameras, so the new NVR would most likely have to be 32 channel. I've been looking at different NVRs (Hikvision, Dahua, Lorex, and QSee), but it seems that the higher end models, 32 channel specifically, have minimal reviews (ex. NVR6A08-32-4KS2 by Dahua). Is it generally safe to rely on Hikvision and Dahua without reviews? Any NVR suggestions would be appreciated. As far as cameras, I've been looking at 2K cameras. Some of the cameras will be looking a long distance (60-75 ft), but mostly used for identifying vehicles with known approximate times of arrival. Again, camera suggestions would also be appreciated. For someone who doesn't look at the market often, it can be overwhelming. Budget is very flexible. Thank you.
