  1. no one wants to share their favorite setup for this situation?
  2. I have a couple IP camera's that areONVIF Compliant and support motion detection, nothing fancy, but do the job. I need the right software coupled with the right hardware to record only motion to a device or server. A few desires: 1.) I don't want it to be one of my computers because then it can't ever sleep. 2.) I'd also like the software to allow when the motion detection is scheduled. 3.) It would be awesome if the server had a schedule to remove files every couple of weeks or so to avoid it filling up. I've found plenty of software solutions but they seem to require me to use my computer. As far as hardware, trying not to break the bank since it's not a massive amount of cameras and recording, just a home of 2-3 IP cameras. I meant to get a hikvision but got tricked into this at amazon, but I think it will still work since IP cameras are IP cameras (at least I hope so). http://a.co/eUCkjmi Thanks for your help! Dave
