  1. Hi all, I have decided to install cameras around our house as another measure of added security, or better say to see what is going on when we're not around (or in bed). I'm not after high end fancy system, just something for home use and to keep budget low I'll be getting 3xHikvision DS-2CD1121-I cameras. I have router in leaving room and NAS in the storage cupboard and my idea is to place a poe switch on the outer wall in some waterproof box so I can drill only small hole to feed the network cable and power to it. The switch would be connected with the NAS which has 2 network cards (gigabyte GA-C1037UN). Because the NAS has slow (but power effective) hardware, I'd like to record on its hdd but manage and view recordings through my main pc. Will this work? What software would be needed to achieve this? If it's not clear I'd like to have it connected as follow: cameras<>poe switch<>NAS<>router<>main pc
