  1. Looking for camera suggestions for a new aviary we are adding on to our house. I currently have a 'birdroom' that I keep my parrots in and I monitor them with a Foscam FI9826W camera. I hate it. Particularly I hate that they rely on a plugin to view the camera within a browser and Firefox has ended support of the type of plugins that they use. It's basically a brick now that Firefox updated itself. I lost the ability to view the feed on IE and Chrome a while back and just never bothered trying to troubleshoot. Foscam support sucks, including their support forum. Completely useless. Currently the Foscam is a PTZ camera. The PT feature is nice and the zoom is kind of lacking but it's ok. I'd like to go with another PTZ camera if possible and I for sure have to be able to access the live feed offsite. I don't care about cloud storage or any of that bull. I tried the Netgear Arlo just because they had it on sale at Costco. That went straight back. I couldn't even make out my birds from the surroundings. I'm also not opposed to using multiple non-PTZ cameras to cover all the areas. I just need reliable access to the live feeds. I also like having the night vision feature. I do check on them at night sometimes. The IR is nice to have. I have access to power and LAN where I will be placing these cams. TIA!
