  1. Your a Genius!!..............sort of. Widows had configures the 172.16 NIC as a public network. I changed it to Home network the same as the 192.168 NIC and hey presto! Thanks for the help it was very much appreciated.
  2. Hi Thanks for the reply. Yip I can access the webserver from another PC no problem, but only if I plug it into the same switch as the cameras and assign it an IP address in the same 172.16.x.x. range. So I at least know the system does actually work. However any PC on the house network at 192.168.... can't see the webserver. I know it's not a networking issue because I can access shared windows folders on the Geovision PC. If I turn all firewalls off and do a port scan, port 80 (and associated ports) for the webserver aren't open on 192.168 but are on 172.16. Frustratingly enough if I go to "Network port information" in Geovision and click on the world symbol I see a box with the NIC on 172.16 in it. This has a drop down where I can select the other NIC at 192.168 and below all the correct port info is displayed. HOWEVER there is no "apply" or "save" button so as soon as I exit it defaults back to the NIC on 172.16. Any ideas? Thanks in advance
  3. Hi all, I'm looking for a little bit of advice. I've had a Geovision system at home for many years so I'm comfortable with all things analogue. However, I decided to drag myself into the 21st century and purchased some IP cameras. I've been having a play around with these setting up the camera's on their own private LAN, but unfortunately my networking knowledge is pretty basic. My PC has dual NIC's, one connected to the normal LAN on 192.168.x.x and the second I've connected to a switch which the camera's are plugged in to. I've set up static IP's (172.16.x.x) for the NIC and cameras and all works fine except for one thing. Is there any way to configure the Geovision webserver so that the camera's sit on their own LAN at 172.16.x.x but the webserver can be accessed from the 192.168 side? Many thanks (If you are good enough to reply, go easy on me because I'm still on a learning curve.....Oh and first post so Hello! )
