    KMOON DVR password reset query

Do you guys tend to not answer dvr password questions because you work in the industry and think it may compromise security of customers/ backlash onto yourselves? just wondered.KKmoon didnt get back to me, the seller did on ebay with a superpassword, they just needed date and time of dvr.

    New CCTV Business

Hi mate, see you got no replies.I was going to post a similar question.Had my own various systems for 10 years now so I can draw on that, but it's just the leap to 'doing' it to someone elses property. Maybe we can swap notes.
  3. Hello everyone problem with a DVR, a KMOON DVR126 H264. forgot password and I rebooted it. tried everything, battery out, no use. It's an embedded linux operating system, probably BUSYBOX. Looking around on the web, various solutions for different boxes, tried on the KMOON, either irrelevant or doesn't work. One solution is telnetting in, and using 'root' as the username and null as password. I telnetted in and I couldn't past login prompt.Interestingly, could ping the IP address, but not telnet with the hard drive connected, disconnect drive and can telnet. There obv is no reset button on the board, nor a likely looking pair of holes to short together on the board.Have contacted KMOON twice for advice to no avail. Therte MUST be a way into this linux box! I want to know where the password file is, it must be 'flashed' somewhere..is it an sql server? any help would be great thanks
