Routing cables from loft to study.

Assuming the Study/Office is on the first floor just poke a hole in the ceiling and bring the wires down the wall in the corner of the room. If you think this is unsightly just make a little boxing to box them in. The more neat permanent job you do the more you will curse yourself when you need to alter things a little Dennis

    Accessing IP Camera Web Interface

I think all the default gatesways need to be the same. Also what version of IE are you using and have you installed the plugin that is needed

    PTZ Cameras and NVR

I have managed to establish that I need to buy a ONVIF DVR and connect and video record via the lan. One on its way with 2TB Hard Drive. I have actually got it recording well to my local hard drive but that means I have to have my PC running all the time which is not ideal Dennis

    PTZ Cameras and NVR

Hello I am new here I have set up several CCTV cameras which are analogue and they work well with my DVR's. I now have 2 IP PTZ Dome cameras connected directly to my network which work very well on my PC and Iphone. I now wish to record from these PTZ Cameras to a hard disk when my PC will be off. I think I need to buy a NVR and have looked at a few. My PTZ Cameras are ONVIF Compatable. My question is do all NVR's allow you to operate the PTZ Controls and if I connect to my network and the internet will I still be able to view the cameras in Internet explorer on my PC and Iphone Sorry for all the questions I must sound like a real noob Thanks Dennis
