  1. Hi yes the nvr will work without internet on IP cameras The IP address will be the address of your box which will need to be on the same lan as the router Gateway will be the router IP address that you log into via web browser for admin setup so for example if your router address is 192.168.0.1 your nvr address will be 192.168.0.? Last number is whatever is allocated by router If set to dhcp or stick last couple of digits in yourself 192.168.0.45 for example Subnet will be 255.255.255.0 Gateway will be something like 192.168.0.1 ( if that's your router address ) Port number use anything other than default http do not use 80 use another set of numbers ie 313 Server port is the nvr connection port which will be default depending on manufacturer change that to another number ie 4534 You'll need to port forward but more about port forwading when your internet service is setup hope that starts you off

    RS485 Cabling?

From experience in the 2000,s when I worked in the cctv installation as a trainee I was always taught to use beldon screened 2 pair cable for data transmission and earth the screen wire I've never trusted cat5 or cat6 as a transmission line I have ptzs at home and have cabled in beldon cable and the job I'm working on at present I'm cabling the data in beldon it's just how I was trained and have carried it on for 15 years

  12. As far as I'm. Aware dvrs nvrs don't have WiFi chips built. In they use either a WiFi access point on lan to. Nvr or a power ethernet line in the wall. Sockets
  13. Use a powerline adaptor in the loft and plug into nvr then the second powerline downstairs into router that will send the data through the electrical wiring

Splice COAX to split the feed.
