    Disappearing logs

Thanks Have you ever heard of auto-deleting logs as a default?

    Disappearing logs

I have an H.View CCTV system bought last year. The oldest log entry is deleted every time a new entry is added to the DVR logs. Has anyone ever heard of this happening before? I have reason to believe my DVR has been hacked.
  3. Installed H.View AVR-AE204 DVR 4x 2MP camera system. Resolution is 1080n although sold as 1080p. I have read that 1080n can produce choppy video over a wireless connection but mine is a wired system. According to my user manual, there is a 'wifi config' submenu under the System/net service tab. But that submenu is not visible, not even greyed out. Would a 'wifi config' submenu only become visible if a wifi module were fitted or has a hacker hidden it?

    Hacking DVRs

I am a victim of organised crime. My computers and phones have been hacked and my house has also been broken into. I recently bought an H.View CCTV system. The DVR model is AVR-AE204. I would never connect my DVR to the internet. My wifi hub, only switched on when I browse the internet, is on the floor above my DVR. Can my DVR be hacked without physically connecting (ethernet cable) to the internet. Or if intruders connected my DVR to the internet while I was out, could hackers subsequently control it remotely without the need for physical connection? My DVR arrived with cables fitted with 50 Ohm BNC connectors. This could indicate that it is already compromised. What is a sure sign, in the settings, that my DVR has been hacked?
  5. The video and audio inputs are easily distinguishable. I compared the BNC connectors on my Swann system to those on the H.View system. The Swann connectors are bigger and the inner ring in the H.View connector is much thicker.
  6. Is it possible to connect a CCTV DVR's VGA port to a 1080p TV's HDMI port using a normal VGA/HDMI cable? Would there be any signal conversion issues?
  7. Has anyone had problems connecting cameras to an AVR-AE204 dvr in systems bought from H.View?
  8. I am setting up my H.View 4x1080P CCTV Cameras and 4 Channel DVR CCTV Kit. The video cable easily connects to the cameras. However, the BNC connector will slot on to the DVR’s video input port but it will not twist and lock. The DVR model is AVR-AE204 This is my second CCTV system.
