    AVTECH AVD717D problem

19V times 5 amps = 95 watts. Should handle it with no problem. Dave

Go into config - network - backup. Lets you backup recorded video one channel at a time. (Video Server E) Hope this helps. Dave

    AVTECH 760

May be to large of a file. Fat32 will backup about 2gig file size and then will say out of disk space and doesn't save anything.
  6. I don't believe it will matter that you formatted it. You might try fdisking it and remove the partition, but don't think that is needed. Double check all your connections and make sure they are all plugged in correctly. Make sure pin 1 goes to pin 1. Do you have another ribbon cable you can try? Good luck, Davec
  7. The DRV formats the HD. Try pushing "menu" arrow to "advanced" push enter arrow to "system" push enter arrow to "clear hdd" and push enter. The format is not fat32 for the HD. You won't be able to access it if connected to a PC. Good Luck Davec
  8. With manual record on (24/7) and motion det set to on, every time you get a motion event it shows up as MS on the search screen. If you set a time on the motion det screen, it will only create an MS event if it is within the time selected. That way you have 24/7 coverage but also can find the motion alarms easier. davec

Is this the best quality setting?

I have my avtech avc 760 set to frame rather than cif. The recorded video is 720 x 480 rather than 352 x 200 for cif. The recorded frame rate can only record 30 fps divided by the number of cameras up to the 4. about 7.5 fps. It seems to be plenty good for what I need. Dave
  10. I logged in about 2:35am(michigan DST). Looks good, I was receiving about 4fps. Don't know enough to be able to tell you anymore. Good luck. Dave

    avtech sound

The AVC-785 records the audio with the channel it's connected to. If you download a recorded portion of that channel the audio should be with it. I can't get live audio, but works ok when recorded. Dave
  12. I have an AVC-785. Found this interesting. Doesn't say anything in the manual about it. Set up the live view like posted before. Then reversed the process to get back to recorded. Had to push set to get out and then push set to change it back. Couldn't change it back without going clear out. Hope this helps. Dave
