hi all,
I am a new member, I just joined and I want to learn about CCTV, and since I am an academic oriented person I would prefer to learn its theory and fundamental well in the beginning. so please let me know if you guys know of any good online or book source.

dera sir, it's not a matter of that i like free things, but i don't have such books in my country, i am a cctv sys anstaller but i know nothing about the ip cameras and the networking issue, so, thank u any way.

dear scorpion, i have already excuted 53 project, but i used to use the analog cam's, this time i have a new job, it's a very huge factory which need to be coverd with a 64 cam's, it's very well coverd with a networking cables, that's why i think that the ip cameras is the best solution or this case, on the other hand, some of the cameras are 1500 meter far from the control room, that's why i wanted to knw more about the ip cameras and how can i connect them. and thnx again

u've been a great help, but i still have one more thing to ask about! and that is: how can i connect an analoge canera for 1500 meter distance? is that possible with cat6 and a baloun?!!!!!

that's good Scorpion, but how can i chose the ideal way of getting this project done ,when i know nothing about networking, that's why i am searching for : how can i do it with the analoge camera's ?
